Follow Friday & Book Blogger Hop (Mar.18)

Happy Friday everyone!
It's time to start the Book Bloggers Party! :D

So, let's start with the Follow Friday feature. Since I have some new awesome followers *waves*, I thought I should say a little more about this hop: Every Friday, we all get together and say HI! We also have a new feature from the book blogging community for every Follow Friday. To join the fun and make now book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:
  • (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Host { Parajunkee.com } and any one else you want to follow on the list
  • (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers - http://www.gonewiththewords.com/
  • Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. (@ Parajunkee.com)
  • Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments
  • Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
  • If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers.
Our feature this week is: Jess from Gone With the Words
And this week's question is: How did you come up with your blog name?
Well, when I first started blogging, this was a personal blog where I wanted to write about random things from my everyday life: movies or TV shows I liked, music, videos, books, photography, special events, or anything that crossed my mind. That's why I pictured my blog as a Journal, with bits and pieces of my life. Hence Deea's Journal. ;) But my biggest obsession was reading and when I realized that more and more of my posts were about books, I decided to stop rambling altogether and resumed my blog to books related content only. And even though this is a book blog now, I think the name still fits - it's a journal of my reader life. (Ok, apparently I haven't given up on rambling completely:)))

Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop is another fun feature, hosted by Jen @ Crazy For Books, that gives us the opportunity to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list @ Jen's blog!
This week's question comes from Somer @ A Bird's Eye Review:
Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?
Usually, I like reading only one book at a time. I like the continuity and I don't want to mix things up. But since I'm doing a lot of things differently these days, now I'm 'reading' three books in the same time. Actually, a book, an eBook and an audiobook. :)) (you can see the titles on the right hand sidebar.) But you know how it is... So many books, so little time...

Have a wonderful weekend!

P.S. Don't forget to enter my Lucky Leprechaun Giveaway!;)

xoxo

  1. For the past few years I've just stuck with reading one book at a time. Maybe more if I had classes, but only 1 was by choice!

I like your blog name! It's simple and yet broad enough to encompass a lot of topics!

    Here's my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  2. Hi Deea! It's a fellow rambler here..lol. I love your back story about your name. It is like your reading life's journal. So cool :-)

I'm a 1 book at a time kind of girl. I don't have the book pimp skills that you have. I can't handle more than 1 at a time..lol.

    Have a great weekend!

  3. Not everyone can multi-task and nobody should. When it comes to book sure, I can't read four books simultaneously (or even two, for that matter!) but there are times I'll juggle as many as four books at a time depending on the subject matter, the urgency or more often both.

The real trick to this is what KINDS of books to juggle. Hop on over to my blog and learn the method behind my madness - http://www.howardshermannet

  4. @Jessica Reading one book at a time it's actually better. You can focus and enjoy a story better. And you got that right, I try to encompass different topics with my 'journal'.;)

@Paramontasy Thanks! I hope all the books I'm reading won't ditch me for being a cheater!LOL I love them all.:))

@Sakura Sandra Thanks for stopping by and for the follow! Right back at ya!;)

@Howard Sherman I'm not good at multi-tasking here, but I'm trying.:)) And it depends on the kind of book. For instance, now I'm reading a YA book, trying to get into a PR eBook and listening to an audiobook. Not in the same time, of course.:))

@pussreboots Phew! I thought I was the only one here handling more books at a time!
