Follow Friday & Book Blogger Hop (5/6)

Hey guys!

It's 4 am here and I can't sleep (coffee overdose!) so I thought I should at least do something fun. Therefore, I'm going to join the book bloggers party!:D

As you already know, Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Rachel @ Parajunkee's View that gives us the opportunity to hop around and make new blogger friends or just to say HI to old friends.:)

This week's feature:
Al @ Magnet 4 Books

This week's question:
What character in a book would you most like to be, what character in a book would you most like to date?
Ha! Like a could give just a name!*waves hand* Now...off the top of my head...I'd like to be Rachel from The Hollows series by Kim Harrison (I think witches are cool and I love magic! And she kicks butt!) or Rose from The Vampire Academy or Merit from the Chicagoland Vampires (so funny and sarcastic and also kick butt heroines) or Helen from Starcrossed by Jossie Angelini (she's super sweet, yet tough and powerful! and spoiler! > and she can fly! and play with lightening! literally! how cool is that?!)
I'd like to date... Hmmm... Tough one! Cassel (Curse Workers series by Holly Black) or Patch (Hush, Hush Becca Fitzpatrick) or Jace (The Mortal Instruments duh) or Adam (Starcrossed) but they're probably too young for me. *smiles innocently* And guess what, ladies? I'm not going to get into a catfight over Bones or Barrons or any of the Black Dragger Brotherhood guys - I want to date Reyes from the First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson series) by Darynda Jones anyway. <3 He's so funny and mysterious and smoking hot! Literally! *dreamy sigh* Or Packard The Disillusionists Trilogy. Or even Trent from the Hollows series - like a date, I think he would be nice. :)

Ok, back to Planet Earth now:

Book Blogger Hop

The Book Bloggers Hop is hosted by Jen @  Crazy-For-Books.

This week's question: Which book blogger would you most like to meet in real life?
Seriously? I can't answer that! I'm an Aquarius! I'm a people person! :)) So I'd like to meet EVERYONE! All the bloggers behind the blogs I'm following and then some! I'd even throw a party in my back yard and bring home made cookies!:)) And since most of you haven't been to Romania (yet) I'd make you a tour! Bran Castle and Bucharest included!:D But I'll definitely send invitations to bloggers with similar tastes to mine or bloggers I chatted with from the very beginning of my book blogger life - such as Larissa @ Larissa's Life, Amber @ AwesomeSauce Book Club, Jess @ a GREAT read, Rachel @ Parajunkee, of course, Crystal @ Reading Between the Wines club, Danny @ Bewitched Bookworms, Elodie @ Once Upon a Quote (hey, I'll visit France this late summer!), Naj @ Unputdawnable Books, Mariya @ Mystifying Paranormal Reviews, Rachel @ Fiktshun, Lori @ Pure Imagination and of course, Julia here and my Romanian blogs fellows. *pulls everyone in a big group hug* OMG, if I ever wrote a book, I'd ask someone else to write my Acknowledgements, I suck at this!:)) I hate letting people out!

Ok it's almost 5 am and I still can't sleep. Damn you, caffeine! Anyways, if you're still with me here, tell me who would like to be or date or just meet. ;)

Have a nice, sunny weekend!

Follow Friday & Book Bloggers Hop (4/22)

Hey everyone!

I didn't join the Follow Friday and Book Bloggers Hop last week and I actually missed them! I really like meeting new bloggers and readers and chatting with old friends, so here I am: ;)

This week's question:
What is on your current playlist right now?

Ok, so here are a few songs from my playlist:
- Katy Perry - ET ft. Kanye West
- E.T./Waiting for the End Cover - Michael Henry & Justin Robinett
- Alex Band - Only One ♥
- Kings Of Leon - Sex On Fire
- Hurts - Stay ♥
- Shontelle - Say Hello To Goodbye
- One Republic - Marchin On ♥
- P Diddy - Coming Home ft. Skylar Grey
They're not necessarily my favorites, just some random songs I like to listen.:)

This week's question comes from Christina @ The Paperback Princesses:
If you find a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?

Yes! I don't do it every time I love a book/series (i.e. Holly Black - though I LOVE her Curse Workers series, her Modern Faerie Tales series just didn't do it for me), but sometimes I find a writer's writing style so mesmerizing and beautiful that I buy all her/his books, even though they are old news by now or from a different genre (i.e. Kim Harrison, Kelley Armstrong, L.J. Smith, Rachel Caine, Richelle Mead etc - they're on my auto-buy list).

How about you?

Oh, and Happy Easter! I hope you're having a great time! I'm spending these days with my family in my hometown. ♥

Follow Friday (4/9)

Happy Follow Friday everyone!

Let's get this party started!

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Rachel @ Parajunkee's View. Head on over her blog and join the fun, share the love and meet some new blogger friends!

This week's feature is Lesley from My keeper shelf - check up her blog!

And this week's question: Do you judge a book by it's cover?
Well yes, don't we all love pretty covers?:D
Don't get me wrong, it's not the cover what makes me buy a book, (I've read some great books I didn't like the covers of at all), but I'll always check up a book with a beautiful cover - if the synopsis sounds interesting and/or I happen to read good reviews of it, I'll definitely pick it up!

The artist in me loooves having books with pretty covers showing off on my bookshelves, so here are some books I made room for (books coming out soon):

See you around and... happy weekend!
xoxo

Follow Friday & Book Blogger Hop (Mar.25)

Happy Friday Everyone!

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee.
Say Hi to our feature this week, Rebecca from Confessions of a Page Turner.;)
And this week's question:
Inspired by the inane twitter trend of #100factsaboutme, give us five BOOK RELATED silly facts about you.

1. I'm obsessed with cleaning and organizing, so all my books are very well kept, organized and frequently re-arranged. I so don't like it when people take a book from the shelf and misplace it!

2. I'm a little possessive and I don't lend books. I love my friends, but I can't trust them with my books - I don't think they would take care of them as much as I do. LOL (Seriously: you don't just throw them in a corner or on the kitchen table with your food and you don't put your coffee mug on them! Jeez!)

3. I like to read at night, when there are no classes, phone calls, visits etc interrupting my reading session - I hate it when I get distracted when something big is about to happen in the book! (Crazy, I know)

4. I buy most of the books online. *sigh*

5. When the TBR pile seems too overwhelming or I have no idea what to read next, I just pick one of my all times favorites.

There you have it!:))

Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen @ Crazy for Books.
This week's question comes from Mina @ Mina Burrows:
If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?
Pff... Though one. Right now, I'd put myself in The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter, since I recently read it and I loved it. Because it has all this magical, mythical world, with Gods - real, powerful, swoon-worthy Gods - and beautiful places, but still, it's not too far away from reality. Actually, there's always a way back to the real, normal world for the people there. I think it would be pretty awesome to see the best parts of both worlds. *dreamy sigh*

Ok, now it's your turn.;)

Have an excellent weekend!

Follow Friday & Book Blogger Hop (Mar.18)

Happy Friday everyone!
It's time to start the Book Bloggers Party! :D

So, let's start with the Follow Friday feature. Since I have some new awesome followers *waves*, I thought I should say a little more about this hop: Every Friday, we all get together and say HI! We also have a new feature from the book blogging community for every Follow Friday. To join the fun and make now book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:
  • (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Host { Parajunkee.com } and any one else you want to follow on the list
  • (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers - http://www.gonewiththewords.com/
  • Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. (@ Parajunkee.com)
  • Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments
  • Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
  • If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers.
Our feature this week is: Jess from Gone With the Words
And this week's question is: How did you come up with your blog name?
Well, when I first started blogging, this was a personal blog where I wanted to write about random things from my everyday life: movies or TV shows I liked, music, videos, books, photography, special events, or anything that crossed my mind. That's why I pictured my blog as a Journal, with bits and pieces of my life. Hence Deea's Journal. ;) But my biggest obsession was reading and when I realized that more and more of my posts were about books, I decided to stop rambling altogether and resumed my blog to books related content only. And even though this is a book blog now, I think the name still fits - it's a journal of my reader life. (Ok, apparently I haven't given up on rambling completely:)))

Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop is another fun feature, hosted by Jen @ Crazy For Books, that gives us the opportunity to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list @ Jen's blog!
This week's question comes from Somer @ A Bird's Eye Review:
Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?
Usually, I like reading only one book at a time. I like the continuity and I don't want to mix things up. But since I'm doing a lot of things differently these days, now I'm 'reading' three books in the same time. Actually, a book, an eBook and an audiobook. :)) (you can see the titles on the right hand sidebar.) But you know how it is... So many books, so little time...

Have a wonderful weekend!

P.S. Don't forget to enter my Lucky Leprechaun Giveaway!;)

Late Follow Friday & Book Blogger Hop (Mar. 12)

Hello everyone!♥

I was a little sick yesterday and just being in the same room as my computer gave me a headache, so I couldn't post the Follow Friday and Book Blogger Hop. :( But this week's questions were too fun to miss and the Book Blogger Hop lasts Friday - Monday anyway, so here I am writing about them.;) Besides, I wanted to show off my new design. LOL (hey, I'm not an expert here!) I'm still working on it. Btw, if any of you could be so kind and help me with a rating system (this one is blah!) I'd sooo appreciate it!♥
Now back to business:

Follow Friday is hosted by Rachel @ Parajunkee's View and this Friday's feature was Ashley of Bookaholic Does Blogging.

This week's question: Who are You the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger?
As soon as I figure this out, I'll let you know.;)
Ok, no, I'm kidding. So... I'm Andreea (Deea, as my friends call me), a 23 years old student, and I live in Bucharest, Romania with two of my best friends. I will graduate this year (it's a bit late for me, but I wasn't happy with myself so stupid me I took some extra classes that I'll finish just later this year). Anyways, I'm studying Spanish, Linguistics and Philology, and this requires a lot of reading and researching - that's why I put a lot of my most anticipated books on hold and my TBR pile is totally out of control. And when I'm not reading or blogging or studying, I hang out with my friends, bicker with my family, look for a new job or I just go out, wandering around the city and taking photos. I love photography! Speaking of which, I can't wait for the warm, colorful days of spring! My camera is tired of all this gray and needs out. LOL Oh, and do I need to mention that I'm addicted to music and coffee? I literally can't function without them. (If you're ever curious, I think I have some posts around here where I talk more about myself).

As you know, the Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen @ Crazy for Books and gives us the opportunity to connect with other book bloggers. It's really fun, I love to talk to other bloggers and share my love for books!:D
Here's the question for this week - it comes from Ellie @ Musings of a Bookshop Girl:
If I gave you £50 (or $80) and sent you into a bookshop right now, what would be in your basket when you finally staggered to the till?
Ooohh how I'd love that! *dreamy sigh* You'd lose me in a bookshop for hours! So let's see a few books that are on my wishlist right now:

Delirium (Delirium #1) by Lauren Oliver
 (I'm dying to read it!)

 ***

Falling Under (Falling Under #1) by Gwen Hayes
(This one came out last week and I'm curious about it, I've read some positive reviews around)

***

Unearthly (Unearthly, #1) by Cynthia Hand
(I actually won this book at a giveaway, but it never made it to Romania - yup, it happens - so I guess I should buy it after all *sigh*)

***

Infinite Days (Vampire Queen #1) by Rebecca Maizel
(I've been very curious about this book since it came out last year, but I never got the chance to pick it up)

***

Fade Out (The Morganville Vampires #7),  Kiss Of Death (The Morganville Vampires #8),
Ghost Town (The Morganville Vampires #9) by Rachel Caine
(I really need to complete my collection before the 10th book comes out)

***

Mind Games (The Disillusionists Trilogy #1)
Double Cross (The Disillusionists Trilogy #2) by Carolyn Crane
(I'd like to give them a shot; the series seems to have very interesting and unique concepts and I love the covers!)

***

Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter #1),  Archangel's Kiss (Guild Hunter #2) &
Archangel's Consort (Guild Hunter #3) by Nalini Singh
(I've read a lot of great reviews of Archangel's Consort lately and I added it to my TBR list, so I figured I should start the first book ASAP)

***

Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1) , Unholy Magic (Downside Ghosts, #2) &
City of Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #3) by Stacia Kane
(Another series I've been curious about; I haven't read many books with ghosts and stuff, they might be good for a change :D)

***

And if I consider the low prices from The Book Depository & Amazon (not that I had a real bookshop around here anyway) or if I get any discount (for buying so many books from the same place or something like that) I'd probably be able to squeeze in that basket also:

The Body Finder (The Body Finder #1) & Desires of the Dead (The Body Finder #2)
by Kimberly Derting
(I won these books at a giveaway - signed and all - but I never received them *frustrated*.
But I still want to read them)

Have you read any of these books? What do you think about them? And most importantly, what would you buy?

Phew! This was a long post.
Have a great weekend!
xoxo ♥

Have a great weekend!
xoxo ♥
