Back to You
by Priscilla Glenn

Published: October 20th 2012
by CreateSpace
Format: Kindle e-book, 328 pages

Goodreads

When Lauren Monroe first laid eyes on Michael Delaney back in high school, she had every reason to stay away from him; within minutes of their first encounter, his volatile actions confirmed his notorious reputation. But Lauren saw something in him that caused her to question his bad-boy persona, and against her better judgment, she took a chance. She had no way of knowing that the unlikely friendship they formed would become so important to her.

Or that it would end so painfully.

Eight years later, when Lauren begins her new job at Learn and Grow Day Care, Michael is the last person she expects to see. Refusing to revisit the hurt and confusion of their past, Lauren vows to keep her distance from him. But staying away from Michael proves to be more difficult than she thought, despite her lingering grief and her instincts for self-preservation.

As Lauren and Michael recall the friendship that changed them forever and the events that tore them apart, will they finally be able to heal? Or will the ghosts of Michael’s past prove to be too much to overcome?

Cover Reveal: The Summer I Became a Nerd by Leah Rae Miller @EntangledTeen

Hi guys!

I'm interrupting today's festivities to show you a cute, summery cover for a book that sounds awesome and fun and that I can't wait to read!

The Summer I Became a Nerd by Leah Rae Miller comes out just in time for summer next year, from Entangled Publishing.

Here's the scoop:

The Summer I Became a Nerd
by Leah Rae Miller

Release date: May 7th 2013
by Entangled Teen

Goodreads:

On the outside, seventeen-year-old Madelyne Summers looks like your typical blond cheerleader—perky, popular, and dating the star quarterback. But inside, Maddie spends more time agonizing over what will happen in the next issue of her favorite comic book than planning pep rallies with her squad. That she’s a nerd hiding in a popular girl's body isn’t just unknown, it's anti-known. And she needs to keep it that way.

Summer is the only time Maddie lets her real self out to play, but when she slips up and the adorkable guy behind the local comic shop’s counter uncovers her secret, she’s busted. Before she can shake a pom-pom, Maddie’s whisked into Logan’s world of comic conventions, live-action role-playing, and first-person-shooter video games. And she loves it. But the more she denies who she really is, the deeper her lies become…and the more she risks losing Logan forever.

About the author:

Born and raised in northern Louisiana, Leah Rae Miller still lives there on a windy hill with her husband and kids. She loves comic books, lava lamps, fuzzy socks, and Cherry Coke. She spends most of her days reading things she likes and writing things she hopes other people will like.

Pre-order the book: Amazon / B & N

For everyone in Romania, I hope you have a wonderful time this sunny holiday weekend! (La multi ani celor cu nume de Andrei, Andreea si alte derivate!) For everyone else, have a great weekend!

Cover Reveal: Pieces (The Breakaway #2) by Michelle Davidson Argyle

Hi guys!

Let's start this week with awesome bookish news, shall we?:D

So, I have the new new blurb, cover and book trailer for Pieces, the sequel to The Breakaway by Michelle Davidson Argyle to share with you today. This is a series I've heard great things about from fellow bookworms who love YA and NA Contemporary Romance, and I know that everyone who read the first book, The Breakaway, must be eager to find out about the release of the companion novel:

Pieces (The Breakaway #2)
by Michelle Davidson Argyle

Release date:  February 14th 2013
by Rhemalda Publishing

Goodreads:

Two years after watching her kidnappers go to prison, Naomi Jensen is still in love with one of them. Jesse will be released in a few years, and Naomi knows college is the perfect distraction while she waits. But when her new friend Finn makes her question what is right and what is wrong, she begins to wonder if Jesse is the one for her … until she discovers he's out on parole. Naomi must sort through her confusion to figure out where love and freedom truly lie—in Finn, who has no connections to her past, or Jesse, who has just asked her to run away with him.

Pieces is a companion to The Breakaway and can be read independently, if desired.

Book trailer:

Wow, I love the natural, realistic feeling of the cover! And the faint railroad background seems very fitting for the story! I can't wait to see what decision Naomi makes.

In case you haven't read the first book yet...

The Breakaway (The Breakaway #1)
by Michelle Davidson Argyle

Published May 1st 2012
by Rhemalda Publishing

Escape isn't high on her list of priorities when all she has to return to is an abusive boyfriend and parents who never paid much attention to her. For the first time in her life she's part of a family-even if it is a family of criminals. But she's still a captive. In a desperate attempt to regain some control in her life, Naomi embarks on a dangerous plan to make one of her kidnappers think she's falling in love with him. The plan works too well, and when faced with the chance to escape, Naomi isn't sure she wants to take it.

Cover Reveal: Embers in a Dark Frost by Kelly Keaton

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm super excited to take part in the cover reveal for Kelly Keaton's upcoming book, Embers in a Dark Frost! You might be familiar with Kelly's YA series, Darkness Becomes Her and she also writes an Urban Fantasy series  under the name Kelly Gay.

The cover is designed by the amazing Claudia McKinney at Phat Puppy Creations (and Hot Damn Designs did the typography). I LOVE it!

Embers in a Dark Frost
by Kelly Keaton

Release Date: November 15, 2012

Goodreads:

The Fire Breathers have come. The Underworld calls. A choice must be made…

With her feared half blood and flame-colored hair, DEIRA D'ANU is a constant reminder of human betrayal and the war that claimed the light from Innis Fail. Now, darkness and frost creep across the land, strengthening the Lord of the Underworld. War is imminent—an allegiance with the Fire Breathers is vital. When their champion, Balen, sees Deira, he believes she is the key to finding the light and stopping the dark frost....

But the Underworld calls to Deira, tempting her to turn her back on a world that never cared and betray the champion willing to sacrifice everything to keep her safe and save his world from darkness.

This is a New Adult Fantasy book and according to Kelly, it's heroine driven and inspired by Irish mythology. That sounds really awesome and right up my alley, so I can't wait to read it!:D And I love how the cover seems to fit the story perfectly! That background gives me chills.

About the author:

Kelly is a multi-published author with six novels currently in print. She writes the YA series, Gods & Monsters (Simon & Schuster), and the Charlie Madigan series (Pocket Books), which are written as Kelly Gay. She is a two-time RITA nominee, an ARRA nominee, a Goodreads Choice Award finalist, and has landed on the Southern Independent Bookseller's Alliance's Book Awards Long List and their Okra Picks List. Kelly is also a three-time Golden Heart Finalist and a recipient of North Carolina Arts Council's fellowship grant in Literature.

On the personal side, Kelly loves ancient history, fantasy, and mythology. She dreams of one day attaining magical powers, discovering the secret to immortality, ridding her home of pet hair, and being crowned Mardi-Gras queen. She likes pre-Raphaelite art, moonlight on snow, and RPGs. She lives in North Carolina with her family, one Great Dane, and two incredibly hairy cats.

What do you think about the cover? What about the story? It sounds so original!

Have a fab weekend!:)
