Hi everyone!
It's been a long time. A really, REALLY long time... that seemed to pass in the blink of an eye.
I guess that's how your twenties go, right? LOL
I'll admit I haven't read a lot in the past few years, with all the crazy real life adventures. BUT I kept up with Goodreads, with my favorite authors, series and the friends I've made in this bookish community. So I've been away, but always kept the door open because reading will always be my favorite pastime.
I started reading a lot more lately (because pandemic and lots of down time) so I kinda miss talking books with like minded people. I don't think I will ever be as active as before here, but I started a Bookstagram account and reconnected with NetGelley and started buying tons of books again... With Instagram and TikTok I see books everywhere now so it's hard to stay away LOL. So here we are.
I still love Romance and Fantasy the most.
So for starters - I want to mention the books I read in May, because for the first time in a long time I discovered a lot of awesome 4.5-5 stars books and I want everyone to read them too so we can fangirl!𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂 // 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲 by Samantha Young
> Loved them both, I've been a fan of Samantha's since On Dublin Street, I had no doubt I'd enjoy these. Love the Adair family and I'm moving to Scotland! (jk)
• 𝗔 𝗿𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 (𝗔𝗥𝗖) by Kelley Armstrong
> Another long time favorite author, loved this time travel novel that I think readers of different genres would enjoy, it has a bit of everything
• 𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗖𝗘 by Madeline Miller
> Yes, it deserves all the praise and accolades. A true unique new classic.
• 𝗚𝗶𝗹𝗱 // 𝗚𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘁 (and half of 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗺 until I realized I don't have book #4 yet and I need to pace myself or I'd die of withdrawal later lol) by Raven Kennedy
> No idea how it happened, but this series became my new obsession. I swear I'd dream of it if I stayed up reading late. Can't get enough!
• 𝗔 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘆 by Brigid Kemmerer
> Really liked this new take on the Beauty and the Beast stor
• 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗔𝗥𝗖) by Sophie Kim
> New favorite discovery of the year! It has ALL the tropes I love. It's everything. Absolutely badass and beautiful!
I missed writing and reviewing too! So I hope to see you soon.
Drop me a line if you are still around - I miss everything and everyone!!!
